This is a 1957 program between the Detroit Tigers and the Boston Red Sox, played at Briggs Stadium in Detroit.
The program is neatly scored.
The program is from the May 2, 1957 game. The Tigers beat the Red Sox 7-5. The Tigers were led by Charlie Maxwell, who had 3 hits and 3 RBI, including a home run. Frank House had 2 hits, while Al Kaline, Harvey Kuenn, Reno Bertoia and Don Lee had 1 hit each. Don Lee was the Tiger Starter and got the Win, while Steve Gromek earned a Save. Jim Bunning pitched to 1 batter in relief

The Red Sox were led by Billy Klaus and Gene Stephens, who had 3 hits each. Frank Malzone had 2 hits, while Jackie Jensen and Jimmy Piersall had 1 hit each. Tom Brewer was the BoSox starter and took the Loss. Ted Williams is listed on the Red Sox roster, but did not appear in the game.
The condition of this program is G-VG. The front cover has nice color, with some wear. The program was folded vertically years ago. The back cover also shows wear, with a tiny hole (1/4") at the left edge of the bottom. The spine is strong. Other than the scoring, the insides are clean

The Detroit Tigers finished the 1957 season 78-76, in 4th place in the A.L. The Red Sox went 82-72, in 2nd place.
