Quite a good 1997 Mercedes Roadster R129 model running well, top working fine, nice new tires and new Alpine and new speakers.
225 HP gets down the road. Adult west coast owned since production. A real classic design, in product more than 20 years, built in Germany. Pre- Chrysler influence, quality and craftsmanship.
If you understand these roadsters, 1997 was of the best last years for the R129.
The motor, considered indestructible, has a very long production history, hence, reliability.

SL 550 AMG, so you get my really loved 1997 Roadster.
Strong
clean running engine, good tight 5 speed automatic shifts.
Paint, near mint. Canvas top, good. Center plastic window, good.
Side windows, need updating and replacement.
I bought the marine grade
vinyl to do
it, you can have the supplies, and DYI or get help.
Good clean hardtop.
Top and roll  bar and window
automation all
working correctly.
The tires,
new, are Goodyear Eagles. (I don’t buy cheap), brakes are fine. Steers tight.
Tire rods check in May when tires were mounted.
Undercarriage and exhaust no rust.
My view of issues:
Two side windows. Mend or replace (supplies with car).
Drives seat, leather crack, not trashed.
Top chrome frame has light erosion from California beach salt spray, does not effect functions of top
Stereo terrific.
