Indians fans joined Major League Baseball players and alumni as they lent a hand to raise money for youth in Northeast Ohio. Proceeds from the weekend were distributed among several non-profit community organizations -- all of which work together to foster the love of baseball in fans of all ages.

Cleveland Indians Charities would like to thank everyone who supported the 13th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic. Thanks to your generosity nearly ,000 was raised to help CIC provide educational and recreational opportunities for the youth of Northeast Ohio!
Indians fans spent the day golfing with current Indians players, coaches, and broadcasters, as well as legends of baseball's past.
The golf outing featured a scramble format. Prizes were provided by Indians sponsors and advertisers for putting, closest-to-the-pin, and hole-in-one contests.
Following the outing, golfers enjoyed an outdoor dinner party. The dinner party also featured a live and silent auction with one-of-a-kind autographed sports memorabilia!!

About the Charities
Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC) was established in 1989 to make a positive contribution to the quality of life for thousands of Northeast Ohio youth by providing educational and recreational opportunities. It is the intent of CIC that the financial contributions made to these organizations will energize thousands of kids to face today's challenges with courage and responsibility.
Since 1989, CIC has donated more than million to youth-oriented agencies and organizations of Northeast Ohio. CIC has established relationships with several local organizations that focus on youth education and youth recreation programs: Cleveland Municipal School District's baseball and softball programs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, Cleveland Baseball Federation, United Black Fund Larry Doby Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Program (RBI), City of Cleveland Division of Recreation Rookie League Program, Cleveland State University Minority Athletic Scholarship, and North American Indian Cultural Center.
The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) was formed in 1982 to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the MLBPAA became a place where a player's drive for excellence and achievement on the field could continue long after he took his last steps off the diamond. Former players hoping to give back to the game find the MLBPAA to be a vital, constructive instrument that provides a vehicle for them to be involved in charitable and community causes nationwide.
