    Description

The Romania 10,000 Lei Banknote was issued by the National Bank of Romania in 2000 printed on polymer. It has hints of green, blue, and yellow. The obverse of the paper bill depicts the coat of arms of Romania, gentian flowers, the BNR monogram, and a portrait of Nicolae Iorga who served as Prime Minsiter of Romania. The reverse of the note displays a crusader eagle with a cross in its beak, from the Vallachian coat of arms during the reign of Prince Constantin Brancoveanu, the Romanian Orthodox cathedral in Curtea de Arges, a flower, and the bank monogram. The banknote does not contain a security thread, however, it has a watermark that shows a shadow image of Nicolae Iorga and the bank monogram. It also bears the signatures of Ionel Nitu and Dr. Emil Iota Ghizari. The note is 143 x 63 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. IT has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
