    Description

    The Romania 2,000 Leu banknote is part of the 1999 issues. It is blue, red, and yellow in color and measures 143 x 63 mm. The obverse side shows the coat of arms, the sun printed with metameric ink, a BNR monogram, and the solar system. The reverse side features a transit of total solar eclipse on 11 August 1999 over the map of Romania. This banknote uses has no security thread and contains a shadow image watermark with a BNR monogram design.
