Description
On 01.12.2021, the National Bank of Romania launched, for collectors,the superb polymer (plastic) replica of the very first Romanian banknote:

The following graphic elements can be found on the obverse of the line representative: two transparent windows, in one showing the face value of the line "20" on the left and in the other showing the portrait of Emperor Trajan, laureate, facing left. The lower two transparent windows are two altars with a high base, and on the body of the altars there is a rectangular cartridge with the inscription "ROMANIA". In the center is a curved cartridge with the inscription "BANCA NATIONALE A ROMANIEI", under which are inscribed: the serial number, the date of issue "January 19, 1881.", the face value "TWO DIECI LEI" and the signatures of the governor, director and central cashier. Also on the obverse are printed: a cartridge with the face value "20", which is supported on the left by a young man representing the personification of the industry, and on the right, another young man representing the personification of trade, control number and year of launch in numismatic circuit "2021", printed in black ink and characters of the same height.
On the reverse of the replica the graphic composition includes elements decorative. In the center is a medallion with the portrait of Emperor Trajan, laureate; the text of the penalties is entered in the circular and, at the bottom, the face value of the banknote "DOUE DIECI LEI". Above the medallion is the face value of the "TWO DIECI LEI" banknote, and below, a rectangular cartridge with the inscription "ROMANIA". To the right and left of the central medallion are two medallions with decorated frames, which contain transparent windows. Under each of the side medallions there is a cartridge with the face value "20".
